We’ve been challenged! Sat 28 April. Opportunity to meet a load of new members from Frodsham area. Most have kids in Overton School.

An afternoon of entertainment, including sufficient paint balls to keep you trigger-happy will cost around £25 per person. As this is a membership event Round Table will be partially subsidising members who are participating.

For the evening entertainment I propose we follow the proven, successful formula of beers and curry and swap stories of war wounds.

Frodsham and District Round Table will be participating in the Jubilee Jumble on 2nd June 2012. Held 10:00 – 12:30 at Catle Park, Frodsham.

This is a forum for promoting the many Clibs, Societies, Charities and other organisations and their activities.

We will be promoting Frodsham Round Table with a number of PR exercises showing the things we do.

This will be run with by our PR and future Chairman Norman.

AGM (Fri 20th – Sun 22nd April) to be held in the ‘Lake View’ bunk house at Kennel Lane/ Overdale Lane, Sandiway Northwich Cheshire CW8 2EW.

The AGM will be held during the weekend on the Friday.

Sessions are 1⁄2 days – morning or afternoon. The Climbing Wall can be booked
for evening sessions. Sessions can be booked in advance, however, this is
restricted to a maximum of 2 sessions on the same activity per weekend. Any
free sessions on the weekend can be booked on a first come first serve basis on
arrival.
All prices above are excluding instructors.

Forest camp is accessed from the A49 (Tarporley road) near Sandiway.
If using a sat nav, use the postcode CW8 2EW which brings you onto a narrow road. Continue along this road for a few hundred yards after this the sat nav will tell you that you have reached your destination. Frodsham and District Round table Santa routes 2011

Santa Claus is helping the Round Table in the run up to Christmas this year as they go round the streets of Frodsham, Sutton Weaver, Helsby and Kingsley collecting cash. They bring Santa to see children of all ages to support local charities and fundraising projects. Make sure you don’t miss Santa’s sleigh with it’s bright lights and cheerful Christmas music by checking when he will be visiting your area this year!

Santa is always thrilled with the whole experience. Santa beams ‘I always love visiting Cheshire with the Round table, it is one of my favorite places, especially seeing all the happieness and anticipation of the coming holiday season. Still go lots to do and not long to go now you know!’

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol Fellowship

Fellowship this Tues is a trip to cinema to see Mission Imposible Ghost wotsit. Tough call between that and Sherlock but times are more convenient for MI.

Film starts 8.15pm at Cineworld Runcorn. Perhaps pizza at Pizzahut (free salad!) at 7.15pm (next door to Cineworld)?

We’ll put off the night hike until the weather is better. The plan for the night hike was to walk off the xmas excess and enjoy a few ales to give a ‘beer jacket’ against the elements.

Start Red Bull Kingsley, walk to Tigers Head, Norley, on to the Forest View (is this still open?), through the forest to the Carriers at Hatchmere and back to the Red Bull (or call a taxi from as far as we make it). This is a 5-6 mile circuit primarily on public footpaths and a few sections of minor road. Can anybody think of a small circuit with as many pubs (not Frodsham High Steet Hilditch!) Is there much interest in doing this as a fellowship?

Lessons learned from last year:

Bonfire must not be quite so big.
Don’t throw the fireworks that did not go off, onto the fire at the end of the display.
Plan some way to put out the bonfire at the end of the night.
